First brew bottled
Managed to get the first brew bottled at the weekend. I use the Grolsch style bottles with the flip tops.
Cleaning them is done with a wine aerator which squirts the cleaning fluid up inside the bottle. A rinse and then onto a bottle tree.
The beer was primed with 65g glucose dissolved in 250ml boiling water and left to cool.
I use a bottle filler which works well, although the overflow tube can be a bit fiddly and you always seem to end up with beer getting on the floor.
Managed to get the full 40 pints with very little left over.
Specific gravity reading was 1.010. Still not confident with SG readings I must admit. Need to do some reading up.
Not long now until it can be tasted.
