I use the Grolsch style bottles with the flip tops.<\/p>\n<p>Cleaning them is done with a wine aerator which squirts the cleaning fluid up inside the bottle. A rinse and then onto a bottle tree.<\/p>\n<p>The beer was primed with 65g glucose dissolved in 250ml boiling water and left to cool.<\/p>\n<p>I use a bottle filler which works well, although the overflow tube can be a bit fiddly and you always seem to end up with beer getting on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>Managed to get the full 40 pints with very little left over.<\/p>\n<p>Specific gravity reading was 1.010. Still not confident with SG readings I must admit. Need to do some reading up.<\/p>\n<p>Not long now until it can be tasted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Managed to get the first brew bottled at the weekend.
